Be Melodramatic (2019) [Melloga chejil] also known as Melo Is My Nature or Melo Suits Me, is a South Korean television series directed by Kim Hye Young and starring Chun Woo-hee, Jeon Yeo-been, Han Ji-eun, Ahn Jae-hong and Gong Myung. It aired on cable network jTBC from August 9, 2019 through September 28, 2019.
Be Melodramatic is a romantic comedy that depicts the daily lives of best friends, Im Jin Joo, Lee Eun Jung and Hwang Han Joo, who are now in their 30’s, and all working in different areas of the entertainment industry.
In Be Melodramatic, Im Jin Joo, Lee Eun Jung, and Hwang Han Joo are best friends who are now in their 30’s. Hwang Han Joo Han Ji Eun) is the head of a marketing team for a drama production company. She is a single mother who struggles to balance her work and personal life as she raises her child. Im Jin Joo (Chun Woo Hee) is a drama writer who tries to write her scripts in a literary style, but her own life is filled with dramatic and emotional ups and downs. She even talks to a purse at times. Lee Eun Jung (Jeon Yeo Bin) is a documentary director and the only employee in her production company who is surprised when one of her documentaries becomes popular overnight.
