Doctors (2016) [Dakteoseu] is a South Korean romantic comedy medical drama starring Kim Rae-won and Park Shin-hye. It aired on SBS from June 20, 2016 through August 23, 2016.
In Doctors, Yoo Hye-jung (Park Shin-hye) is a headstrong girl in high school with a prickly, gangster personality. Due to too many childhood scars, Hye-jung keeps her heart closed to other people. She meets Hong Ji-hong (Kim Rae-won) also a person with a tragic childhood which he overcame to become a surgeon. He stops practicing medicine after a medical accident and begins teaching biology instead. Hong Ji-hong plays a key role in transforming Yoo Hye-jung’s life, taking her from a “hopeless” delinquent to a compassionate doctor. They part ways but meet again 13 years later, after Yoo Hye-jung is a practicing doctor.
