The K2 (2016)

The K2 (2016) [Deo Keitu] is a South Korean action, romance television series starring Ji Chang-wook and Im Yoon-ah with lots of martial arts action. It premiered on tvN on September 23, 2016 until November 12, 2016 for 16 episodes.

In The K2 Kim Je Ha is former solider for hire. He is known as K2. He is hired as a bodyguard by Choi Yoo Jin, the wife of Jang Se Joon, a presidential candidate. Meanwhile, Go Anna is the reclusive illegitimate daughter of Jang Se Joon whom Je Ha has to guard.

In The K2, Kim Je-ha (Ji Chang-wook) is a former mercenary soldier for the PMC Blackstone. While in Iraq, he gets framed for murdering his lover Raniya, a civilian. As a result, he becomes a fugitive. He returns to South Korea and by chance gets offered a job as a bodyguard by Choi Yoo-jin (Song Yun-ah), the owner of JSS Security Company and the wife of the presidential candidate, Jang Se-joon (Jo Sung-ha). He accepts the job in exchange for resources that he needs in order to get his revenge on another presidential candidate, Park Kwan-soo (Kim Kap-su), who really ordered the killing of his lover. In the meantime, Kim Je-ha gets assigned to guard Go An-na (Im Yoon-ah), the illegitimate daughter of Jang Se-joon who is kept hidden because her life is threatened by Yoo-jin, her stepmother. Go An-na has been a recluse and lonely all her life and she begins to rely on Kim Je-ha, who shows concern for her and protects her at all costs. They slowly fall in love and Kim Je-ha becomes torn between having to work with his ally, Yoo-jin, in order to get his revenge, or protecting his new-found love from that ally.
