Thumping Spike

Thumping Spike (2016) is a Korean television series staring Hwang Seung Eon and Song Jae Rim about a volleyball coach and her players who strive for success and bond as players and friends. Thumping Spike aired on MBN from February 20, 2016 through April 24, 2016.

The men’s high school volleyball team from Daehan High School has always come in last, but they aspire to become better. After a misunderstanding with her team captain, volleyball goddess Kang Se Ra (Hwang Seung Eon), is stuck coaching this floundering high school team so she can dodge a potential lawsuit. But things aren’t easy for her as she finds herself constantly butting heads with Daehan’s star player, Song Jae Woong (Song Jae Rim) whose skills and sporting prowess are far above his team mates and whose sarcastic exterior really covers his more tender side.
