Pinocchio (2014-2015) [Pinokio] is a South Korean drama romance television series starring Lee Jong-suk, Park Shin-hye, Kim Young-kwang and Lee Yu-bi. It aired on SBS from November 12, 2014 through January 15, 2015.
A young boy, Ki Ha-myung (Lee Jong-suk) sees his family destroyed by the news media in 2000. He gets adopted by a family in a rural area after he is found lost at sea. He is able to conceal his past for 13 years. However, the girl he falls in love with, Choi In-ha (Park Shin-hye), has Pinocchio Syndrome, which doesn’t allow her to lie without breaking into hiccups. She decides to enter the world of news reporting because news reporters should always tell the truth. This leads to the truth about Ki Ha-myung’s family being revealed. The girl’s mother, Song Cha-ok (Jin Kyung), is also a news reporter and it appears that she might have been the cause of the plight of Ki Ha-myung’s family.
