Remember or Remember: War of the Son [Rimembeo – Adeul-ui Jeonjaeng] is a 2015 South Korean thriller television series starring Yoo Seung-ho, Park Sung-woong, Park Min-young, Namkoong Min and Jung Hye-sung. It aired on SBS from December 9, 2015 through February 18, 2016, for 20 episodes.
Yoo Seung-ho’s performance in Remember: War of the Son won him an Excellence Award for Actor in a Genre Drama at the 2016 SBS Drama Awards, as well as nominations for the Top Excellence Award, Actor, at the 9th Korea Drama Awards. Namkoong Min’s performance as the story’s antagonist won him an Excellence Award for Actor in a Miniseries, at the 5th APAN Star Awards, as well as nominations for Grand Prize at the 2016 SBS Drama Awards and for Best Actor at the 52nd Baeksang Arts Awards.
Seo Jin-woo (Yoo Seung-ho) has a special condition called hyperthymesia which allows him to remember almost every day in perfect detail. However, his father, Seo Jae-hyuk (Jun Kwang-ryul) has developed Alzheimers, making him lose his memories. When his father is wrongfully convicted of murder and placed on death row, Seo Jin-woo vows to prove his father’s innocence. Four years later, Jin-woo has become a lawyer and, using his abilities, he sets out to put the real criminal behind bars, but bribery, corruption, and betrayal makes the process of getting to justice very difficult.
