Kurt Seyit ve Sura (2014) is a Turkish historical romance drama television series directed by Hilal Sara. It is based on a series of novels, one of which has the same name. It stars Kivanc Tatlitug, Farah Zeynep Abdullah, Fahriye Evcen, Ushan Cakır, and Birkan Sokullu. It aired on StarTV for two seasons from March 4, 2014 through March 20 , 2014 on Turkish television.
Kurt Seyit ve Sura is based on a true story that takes place around the time of the Russian Revolution, Kurt Seyit ve Sura, is about a Turkish officer, Kurt Seyit “The Wolf” Eminof (Kivanc Tatlitug), a handsome lieutenant from Crimea, and Alexandra “Şura” Verjenskaya (Farah Zeynep Abdullah), the beautiful daughter of a noble Russian family. They fall in love and are forced to leave their lives and family behind and escape to Istanbul where they deal with poverty, family pressure, and societal expectations. The series tells the tale tells their tale from the days of magnificence in Petrograd, to the Carpathian front line, from the riots to the revolution, from bucolic Alushta to occupied Istanbul, to Pera in the 1920s. It is the journey of their love.
